The blog post from CW above describes how it is necessary to keep the muscles under constant contraction when performing an exercise. This is in line with what Pavel talks about in Naked Warrior. Also, in the book Bruce Lee: The Art of Expressing The Human Body Bruce Lee used isometric exercises to get stronger.
I’ve been trying to do perfect reps while doing pull-ups, dips and push-ups but based on these writings I’m going to go for a stronger contraction during the reps. If that means I can’t do as many reps and sets so be it.
